2007 Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva (Italy, Sardinia, Cannonau di Sardegna)
I had to come back to earth sometime...nevertheless, this was a great wine alongside a simple dinner of roasted chicken, chive mashed potatoes, and Mario Batali's cherry tomatoes and creme fraiche recipe. This wine is all about upfront cherry fruit and kirsch liqueur with some earth in a medium bodied, Pinot Noir-like body and texture. For $11, there aren't many wines I like better.
